Our Production 🧑🍳 How We Make Them
Our production process is hands-on and transparent. From prepping the raw ingredients to drying and packaging, we follow strict hygiene and safety standards to ensure every bite is safe for your pets.

🧼 Step 1: Sourcing & Preparation
We start with human-grade, fresh chicken breast — no by-products, no fillers. Once it’s delivered, we:
- Trim off excess fat and connective tissue
- Wash thoroughly with clean, filtered water
- Slice into thin, uniform strips for even drying
📌 Equipment used: Food-safe stainless steel prep tables, sharp meat slicers for consistency, and sanitized cutting boards.
🌡️ Step 2: Low-Temperature Dehydration
Next comes the key to our snack’s texture and shelf life: air-drying at low temperatures. We use a commercial-grade food dehydrator, which:
- Dries meat slowly over 8-10 hours at ~60–70°C
- Preserves nutrients while removing moisture
- Creates that chewy or crispy texture pets love
📌 Equipment used: Stainless steel tray dehydrators with adjustable temperature and airflow settings.
🧪 Step 3: Quality Check
Before we pack anything, we inspect every batch:
- Are the pieces evenly dried?
- Any signs of over-drying or moisture spots?
- Do they pass the “snap and sniff” test? (Yes, seriously — if it doesn’t smell good, it’s out!)
📌 Tools used: Gloves, sealed storage containers for temporary holding, and lots of very honest pets who give us immediate feedback.
📦 Step 4: Packing & Sealing
Once approved, we:
- Pack snacks into resealable, food-grade pouches
- Use vacuum sealers or heat sealers to keep things fresh
📌 Equipment used: Vacuum sealer, heat sealer, label printer.
🐶 Why This Matters
At Pawsitive Snack, we don’t fry, bake, or use preservatives — just gentle dehydration and pure meat. It’s a slower process, but it means safer, more nutritious snacks for your pets.
